Vicky Waters will become the first lady to represent the club in the annual Benefit Match against Essex on Sunday 10th September. Waters, who recently scored a century for the ladies side, is part of a 13 player squad that will take to the field in aid of the Essex Cricket Foundation at Upminster Park.
Dan Simpson and Ray Calder will make their debuts in this fixture in recognition of their captaincy and run scoring for the 3rd and 6th XI's respectively, while Aki Rahman will also make his first Benefit Match appearance having enjoyed a fine season that has seen him progress to the 1st XI.
Youngsters Gus Siggins and Jamie Green are also included in the squad while Shafiq Rahman, with more appearances for Upminster in this fixture than anyone else, returns to the side after missing the last two contests.
This year's match will begin at 2.45pm with a number of junior and ladies events taking place on the ground from 9.30am. Entrance to the event is by programme, priced at £3 and available in advance or on the day of the game.
